Admission to our graduate programs is open to students with a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) or Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in physics, applied physics, chemistry, and materials science, or closely related areas of engineering.
Doctoral and Master’s Program:
The application deadline for Fall 2022 enrollment has been extended to
January 2nd, 2022
(there is no Spring term admission).
We require GRE scores of our matriculants, but you do not have to take the GRE by the time of submission. We only require that, if accepted to our program, you submit a score before matriculation. If you have not taken the GRE yet, you may enter a future test date in the application instead.

Non-Degree program (DSR):

Requirements for All Applicants:
- Graduate Record Examination (GRE):
GRE General Test scores are REQUIRED. (See above for the complete requirements.)
GRE Subject Test scores are OPTIONAL.
- Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL):
Applicants whose native language is not English and whose undergraduate studies were done at a university where the language of instruction was other than English must provide the results of their Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL). Please use institution code 3987. No departmental code necessary.
